Transitional Rental Housing
CLC Unlimited, Inc. hopes to collaborate with the VA and HUD with the goal for them to refer homeless and/or low income Veterans to our rental homes and will provide single family homes and our shared rental homes that we have purchased or leased to provide safe rental housing to homeless/displaced and low income Veterans so they can be able to transition from dependency to independence. These homes will be purchased through grant funding and public donations. The Veterans will come to our rental homes already eligible for rental assistance from the VA or HUD and will provide rental homes with the eligible rental assistance vouchers to sustain housing, food and utilities.
Veterans will sign an affordable, standard, annual leasing agreement that is renewable upon providing the CLC Unlimited, Inc. with updated rental assistance vouchers, until they are able to find their own permanent housing. If needed, Veterans will to pay the difference in rent monthly if the rental vouchers do not completely take care of their entire monthly rent. At any point in time, if Veterans and or their families are unable to pay their rent, they will NOT be forced to vacate the premises. They will be able to continue to live rent free as we raise funds to accommodate the rental fee and until they are able to pay themselves.

CLC Unlimited, Inc. will accept these vouchers and provide the Veterans and or Veteran Families with a safe, secure and clean environment to live in. Low demand housing will be design to better accommodate homeless and low income Veterans who are unsuccessful in acquiring housing. To insure that only eligible Veterans and their immediate family are in our housing facility, there will be monthly inspections and/or site visit from CLC Unlimited, Inc. management staff to insure that all VA and HUD guidelines are being met.

We truly want to help provide affordable rental housing for low income, homeless and disabled qualified Veterans and their immediate families or Veteran families where the spouse or significant other is deployed over an extended period of time threaten eviction due to decrease income.

The Rates:
Being a non-profit organization, we want to cater to those Veterans that are not financially independent and that are in need of assistance. Our rental rates are considered very reasonable due to the fact that we want to still provide a rental home for the homeless/displaced vets who may not be able to afford main-stream housing rental rates, but still want to have the same clean, safe, comfortable, home-like atmosphere that they deserve and are accustom to.

Veterans can receive temporary housing for up to 1 months free of cost. Giving time for Veteran to secure a job or move into their own permanent housing.

3 months to 6 months on a sliding pay scale – 10% of weekly income once Veterans has secured a job, so that they can have time to find their own place to live.

6 months to 12 months on a sliding pay scale – 15 % of weekly income, once resident has secured a job, and they are still having difficulty find a permanent place to live.

12 months and more on a sliding pay scale – 20% of weekly income if resident requires additional time to prepare for independent living or requires rehabilitation time.

If any of our residents are unable to pay during their rental stay, have partnered with a few local churches and businesses that we are able to solicit funds from as well as individuals within the surrounding communities.

Our single family homes and our shared rental homes are very mindful when it comes to our residents who may find themselves in a situation where they are unable to meet their monthly service fees.
